I'm wondering if there is a way to put the CM4 into usbboot mode so I can update the bootloader and change the boot config on my CM4. From what I understand, this is usually done using the CM4 I/O board, by putting a jumper across some pins and connecting it to a computer over USB. However, I don't see anything similar on the Interceptor board. Is this possible to do, or will I have to purchase a CM4 I/O board in order to do this?

You actually can update the bootloader/boot config without the IO board. Refer to /sbin/boot.sh to see how our installer accomplishes this.
Hi @brian. Yes, you would need an I/O board for that. Borrow one if possible since it is a one time use. Luckily, these are not hard to find and you can even find some very simple/cheap boards that can do what you need. We kept things simple in our initial design, but we may consider adding this in a future improvement to the board.
