When I boot the Compute Module with your OS, I always get stuck in the boot menu. I cannot use the USB keyboard to select Live Boot or Install. The keyboard is not defective, it works on other Raspberry Pi without problems. Also with the Compute Module when I boot into the standard Pi OS.
I'm running out of ideas.
That's how simple a problem can be solved. It was probably due to my old Apple keyboard. With the keyboard of my wife's Windows PC it worked immediately.
But interesting that the Apple keyboard is not recognized only at boot time, when I booted the OS from the USB stick then I could use the keyboard.
Hello @Panxatony, so the USB port is working because it is able to read the USB flash drive to see our boot software, but just cannot read your keyboard? Did you happen to notice that the caps lock indicator (typically some led) shows as on when you enable it? Do you have any other keyboard that you can try? Finally, can you give us the make/model of your keyboard please? Thank you! We'll get this figured out.
