If I boot from a USB stick with the interceptor OS flashed to it, what are the requirements for another OS on a SATA drive to show up in that boot menu?
So I used to do this with no real problems: the interceptor OS was installed on my SSD (with OMV running as a package). I also had a USB with the interceptor image on it, the rpi would boot this and show a boot menu, and my interceptor installation on the SATA SSD would be shown as a choice and would boot after a few seconds. But it that installed OS isn't interceptor OS I can't get it to show here.
The boot selection screen from the USB only says "Live boot", "Install...", and "Bash".
For extra info:
- I'm using the raspberry pi imager
- I have a CM4 lite (no eMMC!)
- I've now got the latest rpi bootloader (2023-01-11), configured to boot from USB
- I'm using a good proper PC power supply
I've scoured these forums and I'm still not sure. I'll update this post if I work it out!
(EDIT: I can't even work out how I was able to do this before)
